I went out surfing yesterday, but took a few pictures before going out. They are posted at http://www.surfcountry.net/091107campus_62.html. A few of the pics are below.

Local surfing chiropractor, Kevin English, sent me a great video of Mike Furner surfing at Poles in October. The video is posted on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ugaQOxPfqw8.

Anyway, it has been fun surfing but the water temps are dropping. Ya might want to get a wetsuit if you are used to warmer waters!

P.S. The shaping room is almost done. The first coat of primer went on last week. After it gets painted, the lighting will need to be installed and it will be good to go. I haven't gotten details from Doug on how the shaping room reservations will be handled. I'll let you know when I find out more..

New Store Location, New Website Design

The new store looks great. There is lots of room and new inventory...go in before the best stuff gets bought. When I checked last week, the new shaping room wasn't quite finished, but as soon as it is, I will take pics and get the details on how Doug intends to use it. Will people be able to use it to shape their own boards? I am not sure at this point!

Surf Country has a Facebook page now.

I am moving stuff over into the new website format. Check it out at http://www.surfcountry.net/. If you have positive comments (hey, remember I'm doing this for free!), then please let me know. Some pages don't display correctly, but that is a problem with Sitemaker...can't do much about that...do let me know if any links are broken.

Doug told me he wanted to have pages on his website featuring different surfers and skaters. So if you are a surfer and/or skater and want some free publicity, please fill out http://www.surfcountry.net/feature_36.html and email me your photos at nat@surfcountry.net.

For the new website, I am featuring Jered:

I'd like to feature a different surfer each month. I am just geeky that way.

Anyway, I hope the surf pics up soon! If you are getting good waves anywahere, let me know!
